Falcons place Bralen Trice on injured reserve
Briefly

Bralen Trice will miss another significant chunk of time after recuperating from an injury that cost him his entire rookie season. He is eligible to return this season if healthy, but no timeline is available at this moment. Trice showed promising pass-rushing and run-stopping ability in college and during camp and preseason, making him a potentially valuable addition to the outside linebacker room. The Falcons can promote Khalid Kareem from the practice squad, sign someone to the active roster, or carry five outside linebackers, though that appears unlikely given the team also carries just five interior defensive linemen. An update about Trice's timeline is expected, and a return could impact the 2025 season.
The Atlanta Falcons have been suffering from an end of summer rash of injuries, one that has seen them lose Kaleb McGary for the season and Storm Norton and Ta'Quon Graham for at least a month. Now we can unfortunately add Bralen Trice to that growing list. Trice had been recuperating from an injury that cost him his entire rookie season, and now will miss another significant chunk of time.
This is a huge disappointment for Trice and a bummer for the team, as well. Through his college career and the glimpses of him that we've had of him in camp and preseason, Trice has shown promising pass rushing and run stopping ability, making him a potentially valuable addition to the outside linebacker room. Unfortunately, he has yet to make it on the field in the regular season, and we're going to have to wait to see him once more.
