Ronald Acuña Jr. withdrew from the 2025 Home Run Derby due to back tightness, resulting in teammate Matt Olson taking his place. Acuña will still start in the outfield for the National League in the All-Star Game. Olson aims to become the first player to win the Derby at his home park, as several have previously done.
