More than 4,120 photographers from 123 countries submitted 23,130 images across 24 categories to the World Sports Photography awards, the only global competition for sporting photography. The entries set a record for the competition. Silver, bronze and special merit images were selected across all categories. The Equestrian Gold Award went to 'Equine Reflection,' a photograph showing runners and riders on the beach in Laytown. The winning image was captured by Morgan Treacy/Inpho. The awards span diverse sporting disciplines and celebrate global athletic moments captured by professional and amateur photographers.
