The 61st Venice Biennale opens 9 May 2026 and runs through 22 November 2026 across the Giardini, Arsenale, and various venues in Venice. The main exhibition will follow the curatorial plan set out by the late Koyo Kouoh. Numerous countries have announced artists and organisers for national pavilions, with participants including Khaled Sabsabi (Australia), Florentina Holzinger (Austria), Lavar Munroe and John Beadle (Bahamas), Miet Warlop (Belgium), Rosana Paulino and Adriana Varejão (Brazil), and Abbas Akhavan (Canada). National organisers include ministries, cultural institutions, foundations, and major museums.
