""This is how I'm going to be paid.""
""All stars aligned for hometown Bryan to be on stage at the Keller on Friday," he said."
Bryan Thomas Hunt grew up in Portland with parents who supported his ambitions in dance, singing and acting. He earned early experience in children's theater, once receiving $100 for a lead role in Alexander and the Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. At 36, Hunt has served as understudy and swing on the Broadway touring Some Like It Hot, appearing roughly 100 times in ensemble roles and several times as Joe/Josephine. He will replace regular Matt Loehr to play Joe/Josephine on Sept. 5 at Keller Auditorium in Portland. His mother plans to attend; his father died in 2023. The musical follows two musicians who disguise themselves as women to escape gangsters during Prohibition.
