Surreal Salon returns to Baton Rouge Gallery - center for contemporary art (BRG) for its 18th year, open free to the public January 2–25, 2026 in Baton Rouge. The multimedia edition features more than 60 artists from the U.S. and abroad, with works hand-picked by Special Guest Juror Swoon from nearly 800 submissions via a blind jurying process. Submissions span paintings, photography, ceramics, textiles, and mixed media. Past guest jurors include Ron English, Camille Rose Garcia, Marco Mazzoni, Beth Cavener, and Greg "Craola" Simkins. Swoon will give a free talk on January 26 hosted by LSU's School of Art.
