Sunnyvale students part of biggest juried high school art show on record at NUMU
"NUMU received more than 600 submissions from 53 high schools on the theme "Before/Between/Beyond." Students were welcome to explore before, between or beyond as individual ideas or any combination of the three. The works selected for the show represent 36 high schools. This show features the largest number of artists ever to exhibit, including The King's Academy juniors Audrey Wang and Iris Zheng."
"Heather Ruiz will take over as Sunnyvale's new director of human resources, effective March 30. Ruiz, who has 25 years of public-sector human resources experience, currently serves in the same capacity for the City of Napa. She has also held senior human resources leadership roles with the City of Vallejo, Napa County, the City of San Jose and San Mateo County."
ArtNow 2026 is an annual juried exhibition at New Museum Los Gatos showcasing high school student artwork from Santa Clara County. The show received over 600 submissions from 53 high schools based on the theme "Before/Between/Beyond." Students could interpret these concepts individually or in combination. The 97 selected artists represent 36 high schools, marking the largest number of artists ever featured in the exhibition. Two King's Academy juniors, Audrey Wang and Iris Zheng, from Sunnyvale are among the selected artists. The exhibit runs from March 27 through July 19, with an awards ceremony scheduled for May 2.
