Sadie Sink will make her West End debut next year in Romeo and Juliet opposite Noah Jupe, directed by Robert Icke. Sink plays Max in Stranger Things and began her stage career as the lead in Annie at age 10, appearing in New York for 18 months. Jupe, whose early films include A Quiet Place and who appears as Hamlet in Chloe Zhao’s film of Maggie O’Farrell’s novel Hamnet starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, will make his stage debut as Romeo. Robert Icke is an Olivier award-winner with acclaimed productions of Oedipus and Hamlet and previously directed Romeo and Juliet in 2012. Romeo and Juliet is described as an explosive play filled with heat and life that confronts the fragility of life and the momentousness of every second.
