"With every image I make, Im hoping that it can capture the zeitgeist, capture that moment of whats going on in the world,"
"Continuing to make an effort and putting your ideas out into the world ultimately has a really strong cumulative effect that you can look at and be really proud of."
Shepard Fairey has produced iconic street and protest art for three decades, including the Obama "Hope" poster and the OBEY campaign. The artist’s aesthetic draws heavily from propaganda imagery and prolific poster-making with a focus on social and political messaging. Beyond The Streets in West Hollywood presents a 400-piece retrospective titled "Shepard Fairey: Out of Print," featuring works across Fairey’s career. The exhibition includes a retro television installation looping archival footage of interviews and street work. Fairey emphasizes capturing the zeitgeist and the cumulative impact of consistently putting ideas into the world. The show runs Nov. 15 to Jan. 11, 2026.
