Production manager killed in workplace accident at Mass. performance center

A tragic workplace accident occurred at Jacob's Pillow Dance, leading to the death of production manager Kat Sirico, aged 40. Sirico was moving theater staging platforms with a dolly when it began to roll down a slope. In an effort to regain control, Sirico tripped, fell, and was subsequently run over by the dolly and platforms. Despite attempts at life-saving measures, Sirico did not survive. Local authorities deemed the death an accident and filed no criminal charges. The performance center has mourned the loss while canceling certain performances.
Kat Sirico, 40, was using a dolly to move theater staging platforms across Jacob's Pillow Dance property with a summer intern when a tragic workplace accident occurred.
While transporting the dolly down a sloped incline, the dolly began to roll. Sirico tried to recover control of the dolly, but tripped and fell.
Jacob's Pillow is a performing arts theater in Becket that hosts a nine-week Dance Festival each summer, and it canceled performances following the tragedy.
"[Sirico's] dedication, warmth and talent left a lasting impact on everyone they worked with," said Berkshire Theatre Group in tribute to the beloved community member.
