
"One of Oregon's biggest arts leadership shuffles in 2025 was the resignation of Suzanne Nance as president and CEO of All Classical Radio and the arrival of Fred Child to take her place. Nance, who led the Portland-based global network creatively since 2018, including the station's move from the east side riverbank to downtown Portland, left to become executive director of the Wexford Festival Opera in Ireland, a post she assumes in January."
"Child, who ArtsWatch's Brett Campbell describes as "the genial longtime host of the nation's most popular classical music radio program, Performance Today," is returning home: A Portland native, he served for a decade as a host at Oregon Public Broadcasting before becoming music director and director of cultural programming at the New York public media giant WNYC, where he also hosted a performance and interview program."

Fred Child, a Portland native and longtime host of Performance Today, assumed leadership of All Classical Radio after roles at Oregon Public Broadcasting and WNYC. Brian Ferriso left the Portland Art Museum days after opening the Rothko Pavilion to become director of the Dallas Museum of Art; an interim team of Karie Burch, Gareth Nevitt, and Donald Urquhart is leading the museum. John Weber retired from the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and Olivia Miller succeeded him. Toni Pimble retired after 46 years leading Eugene Ballet.
