Things quiet down a bit as we head into the holidays: It's a tricky time for presenters, with audiences traveling and schedules in flux, but that lull gives the performances that are happening, space to really shine. This month, there are 13 dance performances, evenly spaced, with very little overlap, so there's no excuse to miss out on any of them. I'll be checking."

November brings a quieter dance season that lets performances shine. The month includes 13 evenly spaced dance events with minimal overlap. Ballet Folklórico Las Rosas de Oregón celebrates Día de los Muertos at The Reser with color, rhythm, and joy in an ode to life and death. Eugene Ballet premieres Dracula, a full-length work by Suzanne Haag in a haunting grayscale world with flashes of blood-red and cross-disciplinary elements including projections, aerial design, and custom-crafted fangs. Gamelan Çudamani offers a lecture-demonstration and workshop at Reed College. Lali Ayguadé Company debuts RUNA in Portland with workshops and a post-show talkback. Jordan Isadore presents You Look Good, Bud, about family, masculinity, and queer identity, and push/FOLD's Catalyst features four local choreographers.
