""We're not going to bars. When we finish a show, we're coming home, elevating, icing and taking an Epsom salt bath. That's every day but Monday," she says, "and it's nice to be with somebody who understands that.""
""He's gonna really be something.""
""And I didn't even say [first], 'I'm Tiler.' He was probably thinking, 'Who is this person?'" Peck jokes in a joint interview with Mejia."
Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia met nearly eight years ago at the New York City Ballet, where Mejia was an apprentice and Peck an established performer. Peck noticed Mejia's talent early and offered corrections on his form. During COVID-19, Peck invited Mejia to her family home for about six weeks so they could continue working, and their friendship developed into a romantic relationship. The couple became engaged in 2024 and married in June. They live in a two-bedroom Upper West Side apartment and maintain rigorous post-performance routines, returning home, elevating, icing and taking Epsom salt baths. Both perform as principal dancers at Lincoln Center.
