I couldn't be more thrilled and honored to follow in the footsteps of so many great actors in tackling the role of Willy Loman, especially with the brilliant Laurie Metcalf by my side and the remarkable cast Joe is assembling. It's a privilege to do what is arguably the greatest drama of the twentieth century, and like all great plays it always seems to speak to us anew each time we see it."

""from active participation""
Nathan Lane will star as Willy Loman opposite Laurie Metcalf in a 2026 Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman. Joe Mantello will direct, with Scott Rudin returning to Broadway as a producer. Christopher Abbott and Ben Ahlers will play Biff and Happy Loman, respectively. The production will run at the Winter Garden Theatre for a limited 14-week engagement, with previews beginning March 6, 2026, and an April 9 opening. Plans were first announced in 2020 but delayed by the pandemic; Rudin faced allegations in 2021 and said he would step back "from active participation."
