MoMA’s seasonal Garden Bar returns to the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden with an ice cream cart and art-inspired frozen treats. The outdoor cafe sits near The Modern restaurant and provides a quiet escape from Midtown while serving beer, wine, cocktails, and light snacks. The ice cream lineup includes a vanilla bean flavor inspired by Lee Bontecou’s 1959 work, a chocolate-chunk flavor honoring Marcel Duchamp, and a dairy-free mango-passionfruit sorbet designed to pair with “The Starry Night.” The Garden Bar operates as a seasonal pop-up with a changing menu that includes coffee, pretzels, and soft-serve. Specialty ice cream flavors cost $8 each and are available throughout summer, weather permitting.
