Los Gatos will hold the Art & Wine Festival Sept. 20-21 on the Civic Center lawn at 110 E. Main St., running 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. both days. More than 200 artists will set up booths alongside live music, fine wine, craft beer and gourmet food trucks. The Kiwanis Club of Los Gatos has hosted the Fiesta de Artes since 1971 and stages the event as its largest fundraiser, with proceeds funding scholarships for at-risk high schoolers, sponsoring leadership clubs at local schools and supporting community service projects. NUMU presented inaugural honorary awards recognizing contributions in art, history and service, naming Michael Parsons, Marie Cameron and Alan Feinberg as recipients. Parsons guided NUMU’s transition to the Civic Center, co-founded ArtNow and established an art endowment; Cameron creates oil paintings, embroidery and mixed-media collages exploring humanity’s relationship with nature.
