Korean artist Lee Ufan is donating eight significant works from his series 'From Point', 'From Line', and 'With Winds' to the Dia Art Foundation. These works, created between the 1970s and 1990s, will be included in a 2026 exhibition at Dia Beacon, alongside the artist's existing installations. This exhibition, curated by Matilde Guidelli-Guidi and Min Sun Jeon, aims to explore the relationship between Lee's art and the Mono-ha movement in connection with Dia's commitment to Conceptual, Minimalist, and installation art. Additionally, Lee is collaborating with Avant Arte to produce screenprints to support Dia's programming.
In joining these works with my sculptures at Dia Beacon, I hope viewers will be able to experience the quiet energy that emerges through the dialogue of material, space and time—a sensibility that has shaped my practice for decades.
Lee's work has long resonated with Dia's commitment to the expansion of time, space and material presence, and the forthcoming exhibition will offer audiences a rare opportunity to experience the full breadth of his contribution to post-war art.
