Trace Ceramics in Hackney Wick was founded by ceramicist Meichen Chen, who explores Asian techniques and the relationship between texture and ceramic materials. The studio offers beginner-friendly taster workshops: a 2-Hour Hand Building Taster teaching pinch cup and handle stitching techniques to shape clay into functional and decorative pieces, and a 2-Hour Wheel Throwing Taster covering centering, pulling and shaping to make bowls and cups.
