Frieze LA Reveals Participants in 2026 Edition
"Representing twenty-two countries, the participating galleries include blue-chip international operations like Gagosian, Gladstone, Hauser & Wirth, and David Zwirner, as well as a cohort hailing from Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, North America, and Africa, among them Taka Ishii Gallery, with multiple locations in Japan; the Toronto- and Tehran-based Dastan; Mexico City's Proyectos Monclcova; and the LA- and Cape Town-based Southern Guild."
"In addition to the main section, the fair will again feature its Focus section, curated for the third year in a row by Essence Harden, who co-curated the Hammer Museum's 2025 Made in LA biennial."
"Highlighting solo presentations mounted by galleries that have been in business for twelve years or fewer, the section expands this year to include fifteen participants, among them New York's Gordon Robichaux, Minneapolis's Dreamsong, and Chicago's Patron."
"In a statement, Christine Messineo, director of Americas at Frieze, addressed LA's recovery from the multiple wildfires that devastated the area last January, just ahead of the fair's 2025 edition, which went ahead as planned."
Frieze Los Angeles will occur February 28–March 1, 2026, with preview days February 26–27, returning to the Santa Monica Airport. Ninety-six galleries from twenty-two countries will participate, including major international dealers alongside galleries from Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, North America, and Africa. Exclusively local galleries and a group of first-time exhibitors will also appear. The fair will again present a Focus section curated by Essence Harden, expanded to fifteen presentations by galleries in business twelve years or fewer. The Los Angeles art community continues recovery from recent wildfires and demonstrates notable resilience.
