"The project investigates how materials can exhibit responsive behaviors, contributing to form, movement, and interaction, positioning them as agents within a dynamic environment."
"Each object is conceived as a system in which material properties and embedded technologies generate specific reactions, enabling the works to respond to the presence of visitors."
"By embedding responsiveness directly into material systems, the work reconsiders the relationship between users, objects, and environments, extending beyond conventional mechanical systems."
Material Interactions is a project that explores materials as active components in design. It features five kinetic sculptures that utilize experimental materials from Swiss and Argentine laboratories. These sculptures respond to visitor proximity, generating movement and spatial shifts. The project emphasizes the intrinsic qualities of materials and their configurations, proposing a new understanding of design where materials act as agents in dynamic environments. This approach redefines the relationship between users, objects, and their surroundings.
