Elusive Sense - On The Fluid Boundaries Of Perception
"My body, your body, every body, all our bodies shift and adapt through the experience of living and time. Between microchips and microplastics, today it seems any organism, particularly the human variety, is undergoing fundamental changes that are unrelated to aging, heck or even evolution. In 2025, there's no question that the external environment we humanity shaped is now reshaping us whether through nature, technology or society."
"Poland itself is undergoing a welcomed transformation in the last decade, long shedding its post-Soviet stiffness and burgeoning into Europe's fastest growing economy. One sector deeply contributing to Poland's soaring rise? Technology. Known as the mechanics wizards of the East, Polish creative traditions have excelled in disciplines like graphic arts, film and photography, and the leap into the digital befits a culture that, too, is heavily engaged with technology, particularly the development of AI, Robotics and software systems."
Human bodies and perception are adapting in response to environmental, technological, and societal forces, including microchips and microplastics. Five contemporary Polish artists present works that probe the human-technology relationship and the shifting boundaries of perception in the Anthropocene. The exhibition Elusive Sense: On The Fluid Boundaries Of Perception features Cosmodernism, Agnieszka Mastalerz, panGenerator, Janek Simon and Iga Węglińska and is on view at art'otel London Hoxton until October 4 as part of the UK/Poland Season 2025. Poland is experiencing cultural and economic transformation, with a growing technology sector and strengths in graphic arts, film, photography, AI, robotics, and software.
