Broadway smash Oh, Mary! is finally coming to the West End: How to get tickets
"Set in a post-civil-war United States, the 80-minute, one-act production reimagines the final days of first lady Mary Todd Lincoln, the wife of US president Abraham Lincoln, into a twisted absurdist story of "history, heartbreak, and satire." In the weeks leading up to Abraham's assassination, a miserable, suffocated Mary reminsces over her forgotten hopes and dreams, which have melted into a puddle of unrequited yearning and alcoholism."
"In its review of the production, TimeOut gave Oh Mary! five stars, with critic Adam Feldman describing it as "not just funny; dizzyingly, breathtakingly funny, the kind of funny that ambushes your body into uncontained laugher." Pinkleton is reportedly set to return to direct the West End rendition of the dark comedy play, with The Sandman star Mason Alexander Park headlining the show ar Mary Todd Lincoln."
