Wolfgang Tillmans won the Roswitha Haftmann Prize, a CHF 150,000 award administered by Kunsthaus Zürich and described as Europe’s largest monetary prize for living visual artists. The recognition cites the entirety of his artistic work and his social commitment. Cheryl Finley was named the 2026 recipient of the David C. Driskell Prize from the High Museum of Art, a $50,000 award honoring contributions to African American art and art history. Finley directs the Atlanta University Center Art History + Curatorial Studies Collective at Spelman and co-organizes Black Portraiture[s] since 2013. El Museo del Barrio will honor Isabel and Agustín Coppel, J Balvin, and Estrellita Brodsky with the Tony Bechara Legacy Award. Art Basel announced more than 200 exhibitors for its Paris fair, and Art Bridges Foundation acquired Consuelo Jimenez Underwood’s “C. Jane Run” (2005).
