Berkeley offers a variety of free and low-cost community events throughout February. Teance will hold a Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, Feb. 21 with lion dance performances, food and gift vendors, tai chi classes, complementary red tea, and other activities at 1036 Grayson St. The City of Berkeley is collecting resident input to shape a three-year behavioral health and substance use disorder plan through virtual and in-person meetings and a survey open until March 4. Mosaic Boulder hosts a rock-climbing competition Feb. 11–12. Free wood chips are available for pickup at four parks on Feb. 19. Berkeley Playhouse presents Once Feb. 20–Mar. 5, and a family-friendly orchestra performs Haydn's Toy Symphony with audience participation encouraged on Feb. 21.
