On 15 January Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey visited the Art Institute of Chicago to view Georges Seurat's pointillist masterpiece A Sunday on La Grande Jatte, in the museum's collection since 1926. The visit coincided with the announcement that they will appear in a revival of Sunday in the Park with George, which will debut at London's Barbican Centre in summer 2027. A director who formerly directed Bailey in the West End gender-swapped revival of Sondheim's Company has been named to the project. Bailey will play the titular Georges and Grande will play the role originally originated by Bernadette Peters.
