An insider look aboard the British Pullman's brand-new immersive train carriage, designed by Baz Luhrmann
"Now, more than four decades after the original carriages were meticulously restored to their former glory, another is set to join them on the rails. For, as of early summer 2026, the British Pullman welcomes Celia; an extraordinary new private dining and events carriage imagined and designed by visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and Oscar-winning costume and production designer, Catherine Martin."
"Set within an original 1932 Pullman carriage, Celia features a cocktail bar, lounge, dining area and entertainment space, welcoming lucky ferroequinologists on immersive journeys from London Victoria. The carriage's design celebrates London's 1930s West End scene and vintage cinema, based around the fictional character Celia, an imagined leading lady who is gifted her own Pullman carriage following an acclaimed performance as Titania, Queen of the Fairies, in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream."
The British Pullman operates restored 1920s and 1930s carriages offering opulent dining and countryside journeys. Guests dine in Art Deco interiors, settle into plush chairs and couchette-style hideouts for exquisite suppers while the train travels through the British countryside. In early summer 2026 the service will add Celia, a 1932 Pullman carriage reimagined as a private dining and events space by filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and designer Catherine Martin. Celia contains a cocktail bar, lounge, dining area and entertainment space and is themed on London's 1930s West End and vintage cinema around a fictional leading lady, celebrating theatre, landscape and literary legends.
