Under the canopy of the coastal redwoods, the 62nd annual Kings Mountain Art Fair will take place Labor Day weekend, August 30 through September 1, 2025. The juried fair features 130 artists, including 20 new artists this year. The event is 100% volunteer-run with approximately 400 community volunteers and pursues a goal of becoming a "zero waste" event. The fair began in 1963 to fund a firehouse and continues to provide funding to the Kings Mountain Volunteer Fire Brigade and Kings Mountain Elementary. The KMVFB responds to over 300 calls annually. Admission is free; pets are not permitted. Food, beverages (including beer and wine), children's games, bicycle racks, and a shuttle service are available on site.
"It's a privilege to watch artists, fairgoers, and volunteers come together to create such a vibrant community in the redwoods," said Bev Abbott, Executive Director. "Each artist brings not only their work but also their passion, making the fair a place where connections are built year after year."
The Kings Mountain Art Fair is unique in its commitment to supporting both its local community and the environment, with a goal of becoming a "zero waste" event.
