"The AI-powered image editor makes it easy to change images with natural language user prompts. Also: You can test Microsoft's new in-house AI image generator model now - here's how The model became generally available earlier this month, but was only accessible in the Gemini API or for enterprise use via Vertex AI. Here's how to get started in these recently added applications."
"In a demo, Google shows a user taking a photo of their undecorated bedroom and uploading it to Create mode with the banana icon in Google Search. Within their prompt, the user offers some context on what they want to keep and change about the room. Then, Nano Banana generates a bedroom makeover with the user's prompt, transforming the room from minimalist to maximalist with the "dopamine decor"-inspired vibe they included in their prompt."
Nano Banana, also known as Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, is an image-generating AI model that will appear in Google Search and NotebookLM and will reach Google Photos soon. The tool enables users to edit and transform photos using natural-language prompts and a Create mode for refined images. The model previously became generally available through the Gemini API and via Vertex AI for enterprise customers. In Google Search, users can upload or capture images and request makeovers or style changes. NotebookLM adds six new illustration styles for Video Overviews and Briefs, including watercolor and anime. No Photos launch date was provided.
