The company began in High Performance Computing to meet extreme scale and performance demands and prioritized stability using flash-based storage. VAST deliberately raised its architectural bar to deliver performance, reliability, and richer features compared with traditional HPC. The platform expanded from raw storage to data management and AI-oriented capabilities, positioning enterprise customers to access unified, scalable, and stable infrastructure for large AI workloads.
