"The leader of a key Amazon AI project is stepping down. Dilip Kumar, VP of AWS Applications, is leaving his current position, according to people familiar with the matter. Kumar has been overseeing AWS's upcoming Quick Suite AI agent software, Business Insider previously reported. Quick Suite marks a major overhaul of AWS's AI application strategy. He also ran the Q Business AI chatbot and QuickSight analytics tool."
"There is no indication of Kumar leaving Amazon entirely, and it's possible he could be taking a new position within the company. Kumar, who stepped into his current role last year, announced his exit on Wednesday, the people said. He will remain with the team until the end of this month, after the expected launch of Quick Suite, these people said."
Dilip Kumar, VP of AWS Applications, is leaving his current position and will remain with the team until the end of the month following the expected Quick Suite launch. Kumar led AWS's Quick Suite AI agent software, ran the Q Business AI chatbot and QuickSight analytics tool, and previously launched the Just Walk Out cashierless store technology. Kumar served as a chief advisor to Jeff Bezos and is a 22-year Amazon veteran. Swami Sivasubramanian, VP of AWS Agentic AI, will assume most of Kumar's responsibilities. Other recent AI leadership departures at Amazon have occurred.
