OpenAI wants Frontier to manage all your AI agents
"Frontier gives agents the same skills people need to succeed at work: shared context, onboarding, hands-on learning with feedback, and clear permissions and boundaries,"
"Think HR, but for AI."
"Frontier is an "agent interface," said Barret Zoph, OpenAI's general manager for business-to-business,"
OpenAI launched Frontier to help businesses build, deploy, and manage AI agents, including agents from other providers. Frontier provides agent capabilities such as shared context, onboarding, hands-on learning with feedback, and clear permissions and boundaries, plus admin controls for deployment and observability. The platform targets enterprise needs like security, compliance, lifecycle management, and human-in-the-loop supervision. Frontier is available to a limited set of customers now, with broader availability planned over the next few months. Early adopters include Intuit, State Farm, Thermo Fisher, and Uber, and dozens of customers piloted the product. Pricing has not been disclosed.
