The Noida-based company previously relied on manual checks by dozens of employees to process funds from multiple banks before markets opened each day, a workflow that is now largely handled by AI-driven systems, he said in an interview."
OpenAI has partnered with Pine Labs to integrate its application programming interfaces into Pine Labs' payments and commerce infrastructure, enabling AI-assisted settlement, reconciliation, and invoicing workflows. Pine Labs already uses AI internally to automate settlement and reconciliation, reducing daily settlement clearance from hours to minutes and replacing manual checks by dozens of employees. The partnership aims to extend those efficiencies to merchants and corporate clients, beginning with B2B invoice processing, settlements, and payments orchestration. OpenAI is expanding its presence in India beyond consumer-facing models by embedding technology into education, enterprise, and infrastructure and partnering with Indian institutions to bring AI tools into higher education.
