Mobileye built its business supplying automakers with computer vision chips for safety features, advanced driver assistance systems, and later autonomous driving. Mobileye agreed to acquire Mentee Robotics, a humanoid-robotics startup co-founded by Amnon Shashua in 2022, for $900 million, comprising about $612 million cash and up to 26.2 million shares. Shashua recused himself from Mobileye board consideration. The deal received approval from the Mobileye board and Intel and is expected to close in the first quarter.
