Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine signed deals with ElevenLabs to create AI-generated versions of their voices. McConaughey, an investor and collaborator since 2022, granted permission to translate his newsletter Lyrics of Livin' into a Spanish-language audio using his voice. ElevenLabs already offered celebrity voices via its ElevenReader app. The company launched an Iconic Voices Marketplace to let brands license celebrity voices for AI-generated usage. Caine emphasized preserving and sharing voices, framing innovation as celebrating rather than replacing humanity. The marketplace includes figures such as John Wayne, Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Amelia Earhart, Maya Angelou, and Alan Turing.
