Google prepares to start testing AI Mode with regular Search users
Briefly

Google's AI Mode, launched in March, is now available to all Labs users with no wait list, expanding its accessibility. This chatbot integrates directly into Search, offering new visual cards for location-based queries, displaying ratings, reviews, and hours for local businesses. Also included are shoppable options for products with real-time pricing. Furthermore, a search history feature enables users to revisit previous AI interactions. The positive reception of AI Mode has prompted Google to consider broader availability beyond Labs participants in the coming weeks.
With today's expansion, Google is also updating AI Mode to add new visual cards that will appear when you ask the chatbot for information related to places and products.
Google says of the new feature, 'For local spots, like restaurants, salons and stores, you can quickly see info like ratings, reviews, and opening hours...'
AI Mode is a new chatbot that Google has built directly into Search. Labs, meanwhile, is a program you can sign up for to try out new Search features before they're widely available.
Google says it's doing this because the response to the feature has been 'incredibly positive,' and it wants to collect additional feedback before a broader rollout.
