Google is launching fully managed remote MCP servers to simplify how AI agents connect to Google and Cloud services such as Maps and BigQuery. The managed endpoints allow developers to point agents at a URL instead of building and maintaining fragile custom connectors. Initial MCP servers support Maps, BigQuery, Compute Engine, and Kubernetes Engine, enabling agents to query live location and analytics data or interact with infrastructure directly. The MCP servers arrive alongside stronger reasoning models and will launch in public preview for enterprise customers at no extra cost, with general availability expected soon.
