Consolidation to a single chip architecture focuses internal silicon talent on one high-performance platform. AI5 is expected to provide the best inference performance for models below roughly 250 billion parameters while delivering the lowest silicon cost and highest performance-per-watt. AI6 is planned to follow AI5 with ambitions to surpass existing AI chips. These chips are intended to support high-volume products such as Optimus and the Cybercab.
