"The company says that users have complete control over their privacy settings: You control what it remembers about you, how your data is used, and the privacy settings that apply while you browse. At the moment, Atlas users will be automatically opted out of allowing their browsing data to be used to train ChatGPT models, for instance. And, like in other browsers, a user can delete their browsing and web history."
OpenAI launched Atlas, an AI-powered web browser centered on ChatGPT with a sidebar that answers questions, summarizes content, compares products, analyzes site data, and edits highlighted text. Atlas debuted globally on macOS with upcoming releases for Windows, iOS, and Android. A premium preview called Agent Mode can autonomously complete multi-step tasks like researching and shopping for a trip. Users are initially opted out of allowing browsing data to train models and can delete browsing history. An opt-in Browser memories feature allows ChatGPT to retain facts and insights from users’ browsing.
