Chanel's workforce is 76% women and its clientele is 96% women. The company has pursued AI investments such as Lipscanner, an app introduced in 2021 for virtual lipstick trials. OpenAI acknowledged that bias remains a significant issue and said it is iterating on models to reduce bias and harmful outputs. A 2023 UCLA study found LLMs can slight women in leadership roles when composing recommendation letters.
