Franco Colapinto replaces Jack Doohan at Alpine F1
Briefly

Alpine has officially replaced Australian driver Jack Doohan with Franco Colapinto for the next five Formula One races, starting at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Doohan failed to score points in six races, which led to this decision. Flavio Briatore, the team's executive advisor, emphasized support for Doohan's professionalism despite the switch, indicating an assessment of options after Colapinto's tenure. Colapinto, previously of Williams, expressed eagerness to perform well alongside Pierre Gasly during his upcoming stint.
We have come to the decision to put Franco in the car alongside Pierre (Gasly) for the next five races... after this time period we will assess our options.
I want to thank the team for giving me the opportunity to drive competitively for the next five races... I will do my best to get up to speed quickly.
