Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie to fill a left-sided centre-back role. Hincapie spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Arsenal, with a €45 million option to buy included in the deal. Activating the option would trigger a five-year contract for the Ecuador international with Arsenal. Arsenal have not publicly confirmed the permanent transfer, while Barcelona are watching for any opening. Hincapie’s left-footed, aggressive, quick style and ability to play centre-back or left-back fit modern build-from-the-back needs.
