WWDC: Apple is about to unlock international business
Briefly

The article discusses the potential for Apple to monetize its core translation technology by providing an API for third-party developers, which could revolutionize app development and user experiences. Additionally, the integration of translation capabilities in Xcode could facilitate multi-language app creation. The author speculates on how real-time translations could enhance spatial reality applications, particularly in long-distance communications using Apple’s Vision Pro devices. While the upcoming developers event holds uncertainty about future products, integrating translation technology in AirPods could bring a significant innovation akin to the fictional Babel Fish.
I think Apple could take this further. After all, having built an effective core translation technology, the company could conceivably open access to the tech as an API for third-party developers.
It's also nice to imagine a translation engine inside Xcode, enabling developers to swifty and easily create versions of their apps for multiple languages.
I imagine Apple already understands how real-time translation could make for really astonishing experiences in spatial reality, enabling long distance, multi-lingual conference calls in Vision Pro devices.
But if it does bring translation to AirPods, it will effectively realize the Babel Fish vision of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy author Douglas Adams.
