The TCL QM6K is a base-level Mini-LED television that stands out for its easily manageable setup process compared to the more advanced QM7K. While the QM7K has some performance upgrades, the assembly process for its standâcomplex with multiple partsâcontrasts with the simplicity of the QM6K's setup. The higher-end model's design choices, particularly the pedestal stand, posed challenges and were not up to standard, leading to a frustrating setup experience that included complex instructions, missing components, and issues with durability. Overall, the QM6K provides a more straightforward experience for users in terms of installation.
All in all, it took about 45 minutes to set up this 65-inch model after screwing together the stand, connecting to Wi-Fi, and letting the TV's OS run through updates.
Simply put, I was surprised at how difficult it was to attach the base to the monitor, especially because setting up the QM6K was easy-peasy.
