Surface Pro 12-inch review: heart warmer
Briefly

The newly redesigned Surface Pro 12-inch tablet by Microsoft aims to address past performance and compatibility issues faced by its predecessor, the Surface Pro X. Priced at $799, the fanless device features Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Plus chip, enhancing both efficiency and battery life. With a sleek, rounded design similar to leading competitors like the iPad, it boasts a user-friendly experience without the cumbersome vents of older models. The changes in stylus and keyboard integration also promise improved functionality, highlighting Microsoft's continuous efforts to refine its tablet and laptop hybrid offering.
Sluggish performance and app compatibility issues kept the Surface Pro X from living up to its beautiful design. It was a heartbreaker.
Microsoft has now borrowed from the best tablets to improve its own laptop and tablet hybrid even further.
The lack of a fan has allowed Microsoft to push ahead with this change, and it's one that I really hope sticks for all future models.
The result of the overhaul is a tablet that combines some of the best design elements you'll find on an iPad or Samsung's tablets.
