Alphabet's market capitalisation briefly surpassed $4 trillion after Apple confirmed plans to integrate Google's Gemini AI across Apple products, lifting Alphabet shares about 1.7% to $334.04. Apple said Gemini provides the most capable foundation for use across more than two billion active devices and will underpin next-generation large-language models within Apple Intelligence. Apple and Google entered a multi-year collaboration to support development of Apple Foundation Models, which will be available to developers through Apple's Foundation Models framework. Gemini launched in late 2023 to challenge OpenAI and now gains access to a vast consumer platform.
