Buffalo put a window on its new hard drive so you can see it at work
Briefly

Buffalo has launched a limited-edition external hard drive, the Skeleton Hard Disk, to celebrate its parent company's 50th anniversary. Priced at around $695, only 50 units will be available through a lottery starting in June. The drive features a 4TB capacity housed in machined aluminum with a window displaying its internal mechanism. With a design reminiscent of vintage audio equipment, the HD-SKL is more of a display piece than practical hardware. An accompanying software, SeekWizard, allows users to create visual effects with the drive's moving parts, though it comes with a limited one-month warranty.
The Buffalo HD-SKL isn't your standard hard drive; it's a limited-edition piece designed as a display, reflecting a nostalgia for retro designs.
