"Apple is planning to incorporate OLED displays across more of its devices, including the MacBook Air, iPad Mini, and iPad Air, according to a report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The company added an OLED display to the iPad Pro last year and the upgraded M5 model released this month, offering improved brightness, better contrast, and richer blacks also seen on the iPhone and Apple Watch."
"Apple is planning to outfit the iPad Mini with an OLED screen as soon as next year, coinciding with a price increase of as much as $100, according to Gurman. Carrying over the OLED display to other devices could take years, as Gurman reports that an OLED-equipped MacBook Air "isn't likely" to arrive before 2028. Meanwhile, Apple is reportedly planning to upgrade the iPad Air last."
Apple is expanding OLED displays across more products, following OLED adoption in the iPad Pro and M5 model that improved brightness, contrast, and blacks comparable to iPhone and Apple Watch. The iPad Mini is slated to receive an OLED screen as soon as next year, with prices possibly rising by up to $100. Adoption on other devices will be staggered and could take years. An OLED-equipped MacBook Air is unlikely before 2028. A touchscreen MacBook Pro with OLED could arrive late next year or in early 2027. The iPad Air is expected to be upgraded last.
