Apple Music introduced a playlist importing tool after a May 2025 beta in Australia and New Zealand. The tool appears in a Music settings menu called Transfer Music from Other Music Services and lets users sign in to another streaming service and select items to import. Apple Support provides detailed instructions and an alternative web browser method. The rollout now covers the US, UK, Mexico, Canada, France, Brazil, and Germany. The launch coincides with several artists pulling music from Spotify amid protests over Spotify CEO Daniel Ek’s investments tied to AI military drone technology. Spotify also rolled out a controversial UK face‑scan age check in July.
