The latest iPad Air continues to assert its place in the premium tablet market with the introduction of the Apple M3 chip. Priced starting at $599, it offers a choice between 11-inch and 13-inch screens, positioning it strategically between the base iPad A16 and the iPad Pro M4. Visually unchanged from its predecessor, the iPad Air maintains a sleek aluminum design, excellent camera quality for video calls, and includes compatibility with the Apple Pencil Pro. Key specifications highlight its strong performance capabilities and solid battery life, retaining its appeal in a competitive tablet space.
The big change for the new Air is an upgrade to the Apple M3 chip, which was first seen in late 2023 in the MacBook Pro and was successfully used in the MacBook Air until March when it was replaced with the M4 chip.
The M3 model is a straight replacement for the M2 model, featuring the same crisp screen, sleek aluminium design and Touch ID fingerprint scanner in the power button.
