Apple announced the AirPods Pro 3 as the first major AirPods Pro update in three years. iOS 26 will add features for AirPods including use as a camera remote for the Camera app and studio-quality audio support for AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2 for songs, videos, and podcasts. iOS 26 will also improve call quality for AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2, add charging reminders, and pause audio if the user falls asleep. The AirPods Pro 2 previously introduced improved sound, noise cancellation, and a built-in speaker in the charging case, with a 2023 update adding dust resistance and a USB-C charging case.
